The Thing

Benjamin Grimm aka The Thing at his finest, originally drawn by John Byrne sometimes in the 80s. My first contact with Marvel comics in ’88 was a gourgeus Fantastic Four story by Byrne that blew my mind and I was hooked for good. In this piece I’ve completely regenerated Byrne’s original and even changed its’ perspective and created a pseudo 3D-effect by using custom code and a hand drawn depth map. The end result is composed of laser cut paperboard layers.
